GS-441524 is the primary metabolite of the antiviral prodrug remdesivir, which has a half-life of around 24 hours when administered in humans. Scientists have found that both remdesivir and GS-441524 to be effective against feline coronavirus strains responsible for feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).
FIP is a systemic disease in cats where their immune systems are compromised, thus unable to make antibodies and fight off the virus. Consequently, this infection spreads throughout the body leading to either wet or dry FIP.
GS441524 becomes an optimal choice to treat cats with FIP as it carries out a molecular process known as RNA dependent RNA polymerase. In layman's terms, GS441524 inserts itself into the chain reaction with the purpose of halting the virus from replicating further. This method surpasses any existing one by providing a solution which is capable of containing the virus but also does not compromise the cat's health.
Recommended treatment: 12 weeks.
Recommended dosage:*DOSAGE IS BASED ON THE WEIGHT AND SYMPTOMS*
Ascites / pleural effusion: 0.5mL/kg * body weight kg + 0.1 residue
FIP(Wet):0.4mL/kg * body weight kg + 0.1 residue
FIP(Dry): 0.6mL/kg * body weight kg + 0.1 residue
Eye / nerve entry: 0.7mL/kg * body weight kg + 0.1 residue
Recurrence: 0.9 mL/ kg * body weight kg + 0.1 residue
Storage
Store at room temperature or Store at 2~4 ° C (Better). Avoid light. Shelf life is one year.
Do not place in a sub-zero environment. Because this will result in the precipitation of active ingredients and the appearance of crystals, thus affecting the concentration and therapeutic effect.
