GS-441524 is the main plasma metabolite of the antiviral prodrug remdesivir, and has a half-life of around 24 hours in human patients. Remdesivir and GS-441524 were both found to be effective in vitro against feline coronavirus strains responsible for feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) - a lethal systemic disease affecting domestic cats. When a cat's immune system is functioning normally, white blood cells are able to fight off viruses and form antibodies to prevent it from replicating. However, cats who develop FIP are unable to do this due to an immune defect or deficiency. As a result, their white blood cells are unable to fight off the virus and allow it to spread throughout the cat's body, leading to either wet or dry FIP.

Recommended dosage:
FIP(Wet): 0.3ml/kg * body weight kg + 0.1ml residue
FIP (Dry): 0.4ml/kg * body weight kg + 0.1ml residue
Eye / nerve entry: 0.5ml/kg * body weight kg + 0.1ml residue
Recurrence: 0.6 ml / kg * body weight kg + 0.1ml residue
For example, if your cat is 3kg and wet FIP, the dosage is 0.3ml/kg * 3 kg + 0.1ml residue=1.0ml per time per day.
As the treatment progresses, the weight of the cat will gradually increase. It is recommended to measure the weight several times a week and adjust the dosage in time.
